November Beauty Favorites

Here’s a look as to what I loved last month:

Starting with a Tarte Palette:

The Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette is supposed to be a limited edition palette but it is still available for sale! I originally bought this a few months ago hoping that I would use the eyeshadows as a daily mix up from my Naked Basics palette but surprisingly I’ve gotten a ton of use out of the face products. The blush in Unleashed is palette specific but the highlight in Champagne and the bronzer in Park Ave Princess can be purchased individually. What I love about the face products is how they are a perfect combination of shades to give you a flawless natural look. I’m starting to prefer this bronzer over my Too Faced Chocolate Soleli because it blends into the skin better for contouring and has a slightly more cool undertone.

maybelline-1

The Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder and Fit Me concealer have become my new drugstore favorites. I’ve been using the Dream Wonder powder everyday to set my makeup over a BB cream or foundation. I’ve found that this helps me stay matte all day, gives buildable coverage, and helps blur pores/flaws. I bought the Fit Me concealer after hearing it is a dupe for the Nars creamy concealers. While I have yet to try the Nars concealers I will say that I won’t be purchasing one anytime soon because Maybelline Fit Me is such great quality! This concealer is creamy, long lasting, and blends easily into my skin no matter how it is applied. I use it mainly as an under eye product but it does a good job of covering up redness too.

bobbibrown-1

My two eye favorites this month are the Physicians Formula Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in black and the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara. The PF eyeliner comes in a set of three with several shade options, and while I do also like the brown and taupe eyeliners that came in this set I find the the black eyeliner provides the best results and has more of a “high end” consistency. It applies easily without having to tug on you lashline but it also has amazing staying power. It you are a fan of UD 24/7 glide on pencils you will love this! The BB Smokey Eye mascara has been my go to everyday mascara. It adds length without clumping and thickens up the look of your natural lash. The consistent shape of the wand also makes this an excellent lower lash and inner corner mascara.

serum

My new skincare favorite this month is the Ole Henriksen See the Difference Serum. This serum contains Anti-aging benefits, antioxidants, and Vitamin C. It is lightweight and has a strong citrus scent, but it disappears within minutes of applying. I apply this at night under a moisturizer and mix it in with my moisturizer in the morning but I do feel that it is moisturizing enough on its own. I find that it keeps my skin glow and hydrated without causing excess oil throughout the day. Best of all this product retails for $48 but I found it at TJ Maxx for $16.99!

And that wraps up my November favorites! 🙂
