My Engagement Photos- Hair and Makeup

This past Wednesday my fiance and I had our engagement photo shoot! I wanted to share with you my getting ready process including nails, hair, and makeup!

Earlier this week I got acrylic tips with a gel manicure for the first time! It is so hard for me to get used to them but I think they turned out nicely. I normally bite my nails heavily (ughhh!) but this was a temporary fix to my nervous habit!

The morning of the shoot I got my hair done at Parlor Dry Bar here in Raleigh. I got their signature blowout which included washing my hair, blow drying, and curling it with a flat iron. They also used a really awesome Bumble and Bumble product that worked  wonders on thickening my hair!

I think the curls turned out beautifully! I usually get nervous about curling my hair since it can make me look younger, but my stylist at Parlor did a great job of giving me less structured long curls.

My curls even lasted a second day! I definitely recommend Parlor if you are local! In addition to blowouts they also provide up-do and braid styles. This would be a great pick if your are planning on getting your hair done for any upcoming holiday party.
