I recently got together with my friend Courtney from Courtney Fashionista to bring you two outfit ideas for Valentine’s Day! Courtney styled a fun day time look while I styled a romantic night time look.
I really wanted to plan a meaningful look for this Valentine’s Day because it’s the first one I get to spend with my boyfriend. Even though we have been together for almost two years we were long distance for the first year. Although he had planned to fly and see me last year, the epic southern snowstorm shut down the airport and made us spend Valentine’s Day apart. Spending the majority of last year religiously counting down the days and hours before our next visit makes me really appreciative of being able to spend our first Valentine’s Day together.
In honor of this special day I wanted to go with a classic look. When I think of Valentine’s Day I think of timeless traditions so I went with floral and lace since they are two patterns that never go out of style. I love the leather detailing of this peacoat that adds a modern twist on a traditional black coat. The multi-texture coat is what inspired the idea of floral prints with different textures for my shirt, skirt, and tights.
This statement necklace is classy but playful with the ribbon. This is a recent purchase from the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohls. Her collection is a mix of fun, elegant, and simple pieces. If you wish you were love LC like me you should definitely check it out!
